Local, Sustainable Food Solutions
At Four Roots, we're not just about farming; we're about transforming the way our community interacts with food. Our organization is deeply rooted in the values of sustainability, local farming, and giving back. We connect local family farmers with consumers year-round through the Scale House Market, ensuring that what is grown here stays here, benefiting both farmers and our community. Through hydroponics and modern agricultural practices, we're pioneering sustainable solutions to nourish Eastern Washington.
Food security is at the core of our mission. We're dedicated to enhancing food access and quality in Eastern Washington. With over 89% of locally grown food leaving the state, we're changing the narrative by keeping food local and resilient. Our produce boxes are packed with nutrient-dense, fresh, and unprocessed goods, enriching the diets of those facing temporary hardships. We're not just providing food; we're supporting local farmers, promoting healthy communities, and breaking down food scarcity barriers.
Breaking Down Food Barriers
Scale house Market
Four Roots is excited to be partnering with the Spokane Conservation District to develop the Scale House Market. With its year-round market, onsite commercial learning kitchen, and accessible cold, frozen, and dry storage, it will provide a sustainable solution for the Spokane community and its farmers by providing year-round access to fresh, locally grown food. While it's not open yet, we encourage you to stay connected with Four Roots for announcements and future involvement in this exciting project.
